FitNourish Ashwagandha Tablets are made with the root of Withania somnifera, one of the best-known herbs in Ayurveda. Also called Indian ginseng or winter cherry, ashwagandha has been part of Indian wellness traditions for thousands of years. Ayurveda classes it as a Rasayana, a herb traditionally taken to support overall vitality.

Traditionally, ashwagandha root is dried, powdered and mixed into warm milk, and it has a strong, earthy taste that many people find hard to enjoy. A tablet gives you the same herb without the taste, in a fixed amount that's easy to fit into your day: one after breakfast and one after dinner.

FAQs

What is ashwagandha?
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also called Indian ginseng or winter cherry, is a small shrub whose root has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years. Ayurveda classes it as a Rasayana, a herb traditionally used to support overall vitality.
How should I take the tablets?
Take 1 tablet twice a day after meals with a glass of water, or as directed on the pack or by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended amount.
Is it better to take it in the morning or at night?
Either works. Many people take one tablet after breakfast and one after dinner. Taking it after food is gentler on the stomach.
How long can I take it?
Ashwagandha is usually taken as a regular daily routine over a few weeks. If you plan to take it for longer than three months, please check with your doctor first.
Who should not take ashwagandha?
Do not take it if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor first if you have a thyroid, liver or autoimmune condition, are taking medicines for thyroid, blood sugar, blood pressure, anxiety, sleep or the immune system, or have surgery planned. It is not meant for children.
Are there any side effects?
Most adults tolerate ashwagandha well at the recommended amount. Some people may notice mild stomach upset, loose stools or drowsiness. Stop using it and speak to your doctor if you notice anything unusual, such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine or ongoing tiredness.
